CHIEF OF DERMATOLOGY WITH APPOINTMENT AT DARTMOUTHVETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATIONWHITE RIVER JUNCTION VA MEDICAL CENTER/DARTMOUTH MEDICAL SCHOOL The VA Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont (WRJVA) is seeking an outstanding physician to serve as Chief of Dermatology. The successful candidate will be a board-certified, highly competent, dynamic physician with demonstrated excellence as a leader, a passion for teamwork and continuous improvement, and the willingness to embrace the Malcolm Baldrige organizational principles. This search is national in scope and candidates mus! t qualify for a faculty appointment at the Geisel School of Me! dicine at Dartmouth.The Section Chief of Dermatology provides leadership and expertise in the practice of Dermatology, the review of dermatology pathology and competency in dermatology surgeries. Responsibilities include oversight of the dermatological outpatient clinics and procedures as well as dermatological consultations on the inpatient services. This will entail supporting and participating in the academic mission of this hospital in conjunction with the oversight of all dermatology residents in the DHMC/VA dermatology program as well as medical students, house staff and all learners assigned to the dermatology clinic. The candidate will be expected to provide an academic environment and pursue this as part of the dermatology mission. Administrative oversight of all members of the dermatology department will be expected of the candidate in terms of reviewing performance, competency, maintaining their academic mission and the overall functioning of this department. The! preferred candidate will be Dermatology Board certified or eligible and eligible for faculty appointment at the facility's academic affiliate, the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.WRJVA is a Carey Award-winning, 60 acute care and 16 residential bed facility, providing healthcare to over 23,000 Vermont and New Hampshire Veterans with services from our main campus and seven supporting Community Based Outpatient Clinics. We are closely affiliated with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the University of Vermont College of Medicine and train medical students, residents and fellows in a wide range of specialties.
