Detailed specification about this career opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Patient Care Associate functions within the policies and procedures of FAHC and PeriOperative Services. This position encompasses both the clinical and technical a! ctivities of assisting with patient care, before, during and after surgical procedures to include patient positioning, patient transport, OR equipment preparation and maintenance, inventory control, anesthesia support during intubation, pathological and laboratory specimen handling and participation in quality control initiatives. The Patient Care Associate will work closely with OR RNs, OR Technicians, Surgeons, Anesthesia Providers, Pharmacy, Operating Room Staff and Biomedical Engineering. He/she helps maintain a safe and clean physical work environment. The Patient Care Associate works under the direction and supervision of OR Leadership.
Education:
High School diploma or GED.
Experience:
Previous patient care experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
This is a per diem, non-benefits eligible position.
