The Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in alliance with V! ermont Children†s Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care has an exceptional opportunity for a board certified Pediatrician or Emergency Medicine Physician with fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine desiring to pursue a career in academic pediatric emergency medicine. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Clinical Scholar Pathway, commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments. Fletcher Allen Health Care, of which the Vermont Children†s Hospital is a key component, is the health system of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and is an ACS verified Level I Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients, and a major tertiary referral center for the state of Vermont and upstate New York. With an annual census in excess of 62,000 patients, including over 8500 children, the emergency department is known for high quality patient care and dedicated teaching faculty.The applicant must be fell! owship trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and board certi! fied or board eligible in Pediatrics OR board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont and eligible to work in the United States.
Preference will be given to those with experience in teaching, clinical, and research activities.
