We are looking for someone to stay at our home in Saxtons River with our dog from 9/20 - 9/22. Our dog Lily is a Shih-tzu/Havanese mix and we think she is about 6 ! years old. She is a rescue which is why we prefer that she can stay home where she is comfortable while we are away.
It doesnÂ't take much to entertain and care for Lily. She is pretty easygoing in the house and absolutely loves to play, cuddle, and receive lots of pets. SheÂ's got a really sweet disposition and loves to be around people. She needs 2 meals a day and she loves treats of all sorts - believe it or not raw vegetables are the way to her heart.
Lily had eye surgery a few years ago and her tear ducts donÂ't drain - so she gets a wet face and appreciates a wipe with a tissue every now and then.
Lily has some separation anxiety so while at our home we absolutely want you to come and go as you please but we prefer that she isnÂ't left alone for more than 6-8 hours at a time. So, sheÂ'll bark when you leave and bark when you come back but thatÂ's about it.
Lily loves her outdoor walks and she doesnÂ't require a lot of exercise (but she d! oes love it). She will also love to say hello to any fellow do! ggies or people on her walks. She does tend to bark while on her leash - small dog syndrome. SheÂ's also an escape artist and doesnÂ't remember her recall very well when outside. So, she does need to be on her leash or on her lead in the backyard while outside.
We live in a small cozy house and while here we hope you make yourself at home! We have wireless internet, cable, and lots of books. We will leave food in the fridge so please help yourself.
Rebecca (my wife), Lily, and I moved from Boston just 3 weeks ago. We would also be looking to set up a long-term relationship with someone who can come watch Lily on random weekends or when we want to take some more time for a vacation. We are flexible regarding billing and would expect to pay between $30-$50 per night.
