Utilizes the nursing process, incorporates other clinical disciplines into the process and coordinates the care whi! le acting as the patient advocate. Participates in-patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice. Requirements: Current Vermont RN or RN license. Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Basic Coronary Care course preferred. One-year Operating Room, Recovery, Ambulatory Surgery experience preferred. ACLS preferred. If no OR experience, will expect trainee to take the AORN Perioperative nurse course.
