Description: Fletcher Allen Health Care is at present recruited Surgical COA right now, this occupation will be placed in Vermont. The Surgical COA is responsible for performing multiple duties within the clinical setting all intended to facilitate the smooth operation of a medical office and related surgical activities. Du! ties include coordinating patient appointments, surgeries, and ancillary testing, providing academic support and/or transcription support, and acting as an interface between surgeons and patients.
Education:
H.S. diploma with or equivalent college coursework in the secretarial or medical sciences preferred.
Experience:
Must have 3-5 years experience in an administrative setting, preferably a heatlhcare setting. This position supports two providers and schedules all patients and procedures for the clinic. Previous surgical scheduling experience highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills are required. Must have a high level of professionalism. Ability to multi-task and prioritize are necessary. Must be able to work well under pressure. Although the hours are 8am - 5pm, must have the flexibility to work extra hours if needed.
