We are seeking a full-time Surgical Services (OR) RN at Central Vermont Medical Center. If you are an RN with a strong patient/team focus, take pride an ownership in your daily contribution s, and want to be part of a growing organization, this could be your next long term role!
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Our OR has five operating rooms. Four of our ORs are used when patients receive general or regional anesthesia, the fifth is used with cases requirement local anesthesia.
- We have a close knit surgical nursing staff with approximately 25 Surgeons and 10 Anesthesia providers
- The OR performs on average, 16-20 surgical procedures at CVMC daily
- We offer many advances in technology that allow 80% of procedures done at CVMC are on a same day basis
- Opportunity to work with all age groups from infants to the elderly in areas including, but not limited to: General Surgery, Orthopedics, spine surgery, Cardiology, Podiatry and many more.
- Candidates for this position must be able to work 8 or 10 hour shifts
- A qualified candidate for this posit ion must have a valid VT Nursing license
- Must be able to be on-call one night per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
- Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, personnel and visitors by compliance with Hospital safety policies
- Documents appropriate aspects of nursing process in medical records
- Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team regarding patient care needs.
- Participates in staff meetings at least 75% of the time to enhance communication and promote growth and development of patient care.
